The garden and the show |
... already for the second time! The first Regional Garden Festival in Bavaria took place in 1980 in Neu-Ulm/Ulm as well. Starting with that Garden Show, 13 Regional Garden Shows have been celebrated in Bavaria within the past 27 years and they have always celebrated an opening ceremony for the new park areas in the town!
| | One garden show – three themes! | | The Regional Garden Show in Neu-Ulm does not only include one area, but three areas. It is distributed over the city areas “Wiley”, “Vorfeld” and “Glacis” and each of these three areas has its own thematic focus and, therefore, its very own charm.
The “Green Bridge” connects the three areas and creates an uninterrupted North-South connection for pedestrians and bikers starting with the shore of the River Danube to Ludwigsfeld. The two towns Neu-Ulm and Ulm are as exciting as the Regional Garden Show itself. Neu-Ulm impresses with its trend-setting urban projects and with the new designed shore of the river Danube, the sister town that belongs to the state of Baden-Württemberg impresses with its historic town centre and with the highest church tower in the world, the Ulm Minster.
